Every gift to The de Paul School, large and small, advances our mission to serve children with learning differences. Here are just a few examples of how philanthropic investments are enhancing classroom resources and assisting families who seek the benefits of a de Paul education but do not have the means to afford it.

New Playground Ceremony
Thank Your for supporting our students!
WHAS Crusade for Children

Saturday, August 16, we held an official ribbon cutting ceremony on our new playground, thanks to the generous donations from the Crusade for Children and the Gheens Foundation. Their funds have also allowed us to break ground on extensive renovations to our Early Elementary Wing:

Thank you to The Jacob Koch Charitable Trust for supporting the addition of Singapore Math to our curriculum. Singapore Math is an innovative approach to math instruction that utilizes visual images and illustrations to help with comprehension of abstract concepts and theories. Below are videos produced by our students demonstrating the application of a Singapore Math strategy called "Model Drawing" to solve a mathematic language problem. By merging Singapore Math materials with de Paul's outstanding math curriculum, we are better able to serve our bright students who struggle to learn mathematics.

We are so grateful to hundreds of donors for annually supporting de Party for de Paul, Golf Scramble, our Endowment Fund, and The Fund for de Paul. Because of your generosity and belief in the transformative power of de Paul, we are able to award nearly $400,000 in tuition assistance each school year. Without your kindness, those deserving children would simply not be able to enroll in our school.

Gifts to The Fund for de Paul help bridge the gap between tuition assistance and the actual cost of educating our students. The Fund for de Paul can also provide our teachers and students with the finest of classroom resources to advance their teaching and learning. Below are just a few examples of campus resources made possible by your gifts to The Fund for de Paul:

  • Microscopes, measurement equipment, and other essential resources for our science lab
  • Need-based scholarships
  • Underwriting for the research and publication of de Paul's specialized language arts, math, and social studies curriculum and teachers' manuals
  • Computer tablets for our many mobile labs, which provide students with 1:1 access to technology within our wireless school's classrooms
  • An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which can provide emergency first aid response within our school
