We Have the Solution to Summer Learning Loss!
“I’ve been coming to the Summer Program since 6th grade. At first, I didn’t want to come, but it helped me a lot. I’m in the classes with all my friends now that I’m caught up. I hope I get to do it again this year!”
-Lydia, de Paul and Summer Program Alum
June 17th-July 12th, 2013
Whether you are seeking remediation or retention of academic skills, The de Paul School’s Summer Program can help prepare your student for a successful 2013-2014 School Year, gaining skills and confidence. Classes are held Monday through Friday, in our concentrated, research-based 4-week course for students in grades 1st through 8th.
The Summer Program is open to students who attend The de Paul School, as well as those who do not. As the program is designed for students with learning differences, our admissions testing is required to determine eligibility and classroom placement.

Morning Instruction: 9:00am-12:00pm
Morning Instruction focuses on improving basic academic skills in Reading, Writing, Language Arts, and Mathematics, in a comprehensive and engaging way. With a 5:1 student/teacher ratio, the teachers are able to focus individualized instruction to each child’s specific area of scholastic need. The students learn how to solve problems independently, and how to organize their time and ideas in ways which ensure their brilliance shines.
Enrichment Camp: 1:00pm-4:00pm
Students enrolled in Morning Instruction may take part in afternoon Enrichment Camp classes. Students enjoy hands-on activities and off-campus field trips based on weekly themes. This year, campers will have a week each of Computers, Robotics, Sports, and Mad Science. We are in the process of finalizing field trip details, but currently have the Science Center and a Bats Baseball Game scheduled. The Enrichment Camp is a great way for students to be exposed to different creative outlets. Parents also find these hours to be very helpful in easing transportation difficulties.
Early Morning Program: 7:00am-8:45am
For those parents who may need to drop their children off prior to the 8:45am daily start, a light breakfast will be served, and students can participate in recreation before beginning their Morning Instruction.
Academic Tutoring: July 2013, 1:00pm-4:00pm
Private and Semi-Private tutoring will be available for students who have been enrolled in a de Paul School Program, either Summer or Full-Time. Hourly tutoring will be offered two afternoons a week, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
The application and testing process for The de Paul School Summer Program is going on now! Call us today, (502) 459-6131, to learn more or to schedule testing.
