Tuition & Financial Aid

We believe that the investment in your child’s education is one of the highest yielding investments a parent can make, especially for a student who needs an alternative approach to learning in order to experience success. The de Paul School is deeply committed to providing tuition assistance to our students’ families. We recognize that the tuition of an independent school, particularly for a student-centered school like de Paul, can be difficult for many families to afford.

We have provided almost $400,000 of annual tuition assistance in recent years, with 40% of our families receiving some tuition aid. Grants typically do not exceed 50% of tuition, but appeals are considered when need is great and funds are available. Our hope is that no child is unable to benefit from a de Paul education due to financial constraints.

Tuition Payments & Financial Aid Application Process

Families both pay tuition and apply for assistance online, through FACTS Tuition Management & Aid Assessment. More help and online videos are available to assist you in the process. FACTS stands ready via Live Help to answer any questions you may have. Download FACTS flyer as pdf.

Annually, the process of applying for tuition assistance begins in January, and continues as long as there are funds available for the specific school year. For School Year 2013-2014, the deadline for the first round of aid was March 22nd. Applications received after this date will still be considered, but funds available will be reduced by the awards of the families that met the March 22nd deadline. Applications received after March 22nd will be considered beginning May 6th, 2013. Additional awards will be considered from funds reserved for appeals and new students.

For anyone interested enrollment or in applying for tuition assistance for the 2013-2014 School Year, and have questions or need guidance in the FACTS application process, please call (502) 459-6131 to speak with a de Paul Business Office representative. They can offer step-by-step guidance through the process, and answer any questions, including the factors of award determination.

Assistance Funding

Funds dedicated to tuition assistance are raised each year for the upcoming school year, through the devoted efforts of our Development Office. These resources are not part of our operating budget, nor is tuition assistance provided through tuition discounting. One family’s tuition is not used to pay for the cost of another child to attend. We also encourage families to contact scholarship groups like School CHOICE Scholarships, which are dedicated to helping families find tuition support.

Some families choose low interest student loans, through lenders like Your Tuition Solution, as an option to help with affordability.
